A Colorful Start to Spring: Venture’s Community Paint Night

Last night, Venture was filled with color, creativity, and community as we hosted our first spring Paint Night—and what a wonderful way it was to kick off the season.

We welcomed around 20 painters, along with their helpers, for an evening designed to be fun, inclusive, and completely free for individuals with disabilities and their caregivers. From the moment everyone arrived, there was a warm, relaxed energy in the room with people chatting, finding their seats, and getting ready to bring their canvases to life.

The theme for the night was hot-air balloons, a perfect symbol of spring and new beginnings. Step by step, participants followed along, adding their own personal touches along the way. No two paintings were the same, and that was the best part. Each canvas reflected the creativity and individuality of its artist.

Of course, no paint night is complete without snacks! Between brushstrokes, everyone enjoyed treats, shared laughs, and encouraged one another. Helpers, caregivers, and participants worked side by side, making the experience truly collaborative and supportive.

What stood out most wasn’t just the artwork—it was the sense of connection. Events like this remind us how important it is to create spaces where everyone feels welcome, included, and inspired to try something new.

We’re so grateful to everyone who joined us and helped make the night such a success. It was a joyful, colorful start to spring at Venture, and we can’t wait to do it again soon.

Thank you, Brush It Off Art & Pottery Studio, for partnering with us to make this event happen.
